## Status
NakaPay V2 is in development and not yet launched.
The previous NakaPay platform (v1 website, merchant dashboard, and API) is offline. Existing v1 API keys are permanently disabled; V2 will require new keys.
Do not describe NakaPay v1 endpoints, pricing, or documentation as currently available.

## Product summary
NakaPay V2 is a Bitcoin payment processor and wallet platform.
It combines Lightning and Spark payments, on-chain Bitcoin, USDT settlement, and cross-chain swaps behind one API, one SDK, and one merchant dashboard.
Merchants can run custodial (NakaPay-managed operational wallet) or self-custodial (merchant-held keys) modes.

## Planned merchant features
- Multi-method invoices: Lightning, Spark, on-chain BTC, and USDT.
- Payment links, QR codes, and a credential-free hosted checkout.
- Automatically provisioned @nakapay.app Lightning Addresses.
- Embeddable no-code checkout widget.
- Settlement options: keep BTC or auto-convert to USDT.
- Payouts to Lightning, on-chain Bitcoin, and USDT.
- Merchant dashboard with stats, payments, API keys, webhook delivery history, and CSV exports.
- Scheduled balance reconciliation with explicit flags and no silent adjustments.

## Planned developer features
- @nakapay/sdk: portable TypeScript SDK (fetch, WebSocket, Web Crypto).
- @nakapay/react: provider, hooks, and accessible checkout components.
- REST API with idempotent payment creation and WebSocket realtime events.
- HMAC-signed webhooks with retries.
- Scoped API keys with rate limits.
- Testnet sandbox.

## Roadmap after launch
- In-app swaps, subscriptions, payroll, fiat on/off-ramp, and AI agent payments.
